On the first day of November 2012, we had visitors from Okayama University, Japan, as professor Suzuki and his students from the Advanced System Safety Laboratory came to tell us of their projects, and we told them about us.
Present were also Perttu Heino, Kimmo Vänni, Ari Närhi and me (Carita Forsgren), in addition to several students from TIKO and Media.
First, our students showed what kinds of games and apps they have been designing and creating lately. Then Professor Suzuki's students showed us their education and risk management simulation systems they had been creating for the training of heavy industry operators.
At the end of the 2,5-hour session, I asked prof. Suzuki if they have games design and graphic design students in their projects, and he told me that they would welcome precisely these kinds of people to join them, from TAMK if possible. So I think that there are some great opportunities for students in doing projects together with the Okayama people.
