Exhibition by Saimaa UAS Fine Art Students
December 13 - January 24 2013
Mon-Fri 12-16
Finlaysoninkuja 3

On December the 12th the exhibition “Under Construction” opens at TAMK’s Ikuinen Galleria. The artists of the exhibition are the art students from Saimia University of Applied Sciences and the exhibition is result from the collaboration of both Imatra and Tampere art departments.

The idea behind the exhibition is to have a look at what’s happening in the art field today in the art departments around Finland. The collaboration between the TAMK and Saimia art students began last summer when the both universities had an art fair together in Stockfors, Pyhtää. The project tries to create collaboration between the art departments while the art education is been ran down. There are already been discussions on the next art attack, this time the students of TAMK will have their exhibition in Imatra.

In the Under Construction-exhibition there will be art pieces from nine art students. There are going to be traditional as well as digital paintings, installations, digital photography, prints and sculptures.

The openings will be at Ikuinen Galleria at Wednesday the 12th on December (12.12.2012) at 4pm. The exhibition will be open until the 24th of January. The gallery is closed due the holidays 22.12.2012-6.1.2013.
