Inside the Box: Collaboration for Outside-The-Box Thinking

Thinking outside the box is overrated. Sometimes, diving into the box is better than trying to think outside of it. This workshop puts you and your partners inside the box, and asks you to find something inside to help you to think yourselves. We will learn how to work quickly, creatively, and efficiently with people we've never met, as teams collaborate to create a company, develop a product, construct a marketing strategy, and ultimately pitch their concept – all in under half an hour. Do you have what it takes to get inside the box?

Pitching Practice – Don’t Be A Little Pitch

Pitching. Some love it. Some dread it. But we all have to do it at one point or another. Join us in the MindTrek Lounge as we see some of the area’s brightest entrepreneurs and start-ups practice their pitches in English. There will be 3 professionals giving feedback, and audience participation, of course! 5-minute pitches. 5-minutes of feedback & questions. Eternal Glory.

In Good Company: Local Digital Media in the Spotlight

Come see live interviews with some of the area’s freshest and most innovative companies, startups, and students in the industry. Learn about new projects, ideas and concepts from the firms that interest you the most. Our host will be asking relevant questions regarding employment, the future outlooks, and everything in between. But don’t leave yet! We’ll open it up to the floor for your questions after the interview, so you will have the chance to talk and network with our guests.

As technology develops and computers get more advanced, the rest of the technological world has to try to keep up. One of the most interesting way this has manifested itself is in 3D printing.
The MindTrek Lounge has teamed up with HackerSpace Tampere to present a demonstration in this cutting edge technology. So come and join us in the MindTrek Lounge for a look at the future of printing!
