Swan Lake: Moving Image & Music Award is about visualising music in two contest categories; Animation and Digital Film.

This year Vesa Jokinen and Hanne Zenjuga, students of visual design at TAMK University of Applied Sciences School of Art and Media, are nominated for SL:MIMA in the Animation Category. There are three nominees in both categories.


Vesa's and Hanne's nominated animation "It Dwells in the Depths" is a visual for "The Smell of Rain" composed by Kathryn Toyama.

The winners will be announced at the Swan Lake Gala in Mittweida, Germany November 13.

SL:MIMA has announced also a public voting, you can go to the Swanlake website, look at the 14 projects chosen for the last selection round, and vote your favourite by October 22.
