TAF International Week 2012 attracted a record of 60 international visitors: 30 academic and other staff members from 22 institutes of higher education, 25 students from three universities and five staff members of three enterprises. The International Week featured nine workshops lead by our guests, four seminars and one show of our student works & International Week workshop results, six exhibitions, one networking sauna event, visits to Demola and (Angry Bird) Rovio, one reception and one evening party, countless project and partnership meetings.

Our blog has already documented most workshops and the four seminars of Tampere Art Factory International Week 2012. If you have missed the introductions, check the links at the end of this post. In addition the programme included one show of our student works & International Week workshop results, six exhibitions, one networking sauna event, visits to Demola and (Angry Bird) Rovio, one reception and one evening party, countless project and partnership meetings. TAF events are ongoing in the Finalyson campus area, and luckily there is still time to participate! This two-day Producing with the Audience -workshop was held by Cyrille Bloemers and Johan Rijpma from the Utrecht School of the Arts, Netherlands.

Four new workshops started today, the two-day Open everything: Theories, Methodologies and Practices by Yu-Wei Lin (University of Salford, UK), the four day Video mapping on custom sculptures by Olav Huizer, Jelle Valk and Joachim Rümke (WERC, the Netherlands), the one-day 24 hours.in - revisited by James Fields (University of Lincoln, UK) and the three day Arduino Workshop by Danica Mast and Joey van der Bie (The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands).

One more Tampere Art Factory exhibition is open: The photo art exhibition in the painting studios, Finlayson campus third floor. The art Works are from courses Fine Art Photography I and II in spring semester 2012. So very fresh stuff!

The first fifteen of our 60 International Week participants came this morning to Finlayson Campus, and the first workshops started their work.
Tampere Art Factory (TAF) international week will run until Friday, when the actual Tampere Art Factory Festival will begin.
Tampere Art Factory International Week starts today with 60 international teachers, enterprise representatives and students.
The first half of the graduation show of our Fine Art students had a joyous and welcoming vernissage at Art Centre Mältinranta on Friday. The second half will be opened on the opening day of Tampere Art Factory (TAF) next Friday at TR1 Kunsthalle, Finlayson.
