The Finnish book 'Karikko' (WSOY 2012) by Seita Vuorela and Jani Ikonen (ill.) is the first work to be awarded the newly established Nordic Council Children and Young People's Literature Prize. Jani Ikonen graduated from the Degree Programme of Fine Arts of TAMK and now works as a part-time teacher in the programme. Jani sends greetings toTampere during the great award ceremony in Oslo.
