Riikka Kuoppala, graduate from TAMK Degree Programme in Fine Arts last year, has been invited to MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York. On September 15 MoMA will present "Arctic Hysteria Onscreen" in conjunction with the exhibition Arctic Hysteria: New Art from Finland. Arctic Hysteria Onscreen is a three-part screening of key works of Finnish experimental film and video art from the mid-1990s to the present.

The screening is curated by Marita Muukkonen from Finnish Fund for Art Exchange (FRAME) and organized by Tim Goossens, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, and Rajendra Roy, The Celeste Bartos Chief Curator of Film, The Museum of Modern Art.

Visitor in my body is also intited to the Videoarte Nórdico event, part of La Noche en Blanco (White Nights Europe) in Madrid September 13. The Ibero-American Institute of Finland, in conjunction with the four Nordic embassies (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden) present a video art show that spirits the viewer away to a world that is simultaneously strange and familiar. Four young Nordic artists show four works of video art related to issues like the occult, dreamlike visions and illusions.
