MindTrek is the biggest annual Nordic digital media event and award. MindTrek has also been one of the biggest efforts of the School of Art and Media since 1997, when the first Tampere Multimedia Festival and Award were arranged.

MindTrek has three main activities:

The Interactive Media Programme, IMP, is a one term programme in English for exchange students at TAMK University of Applied Sciences School of Art and Media. IMP has been arranged every autumn since 2000. It has become widely known and popular, not all applicants could be accepted.
