MindTrek 2012 - The 15 yrs old will again reincarnate

Other early digital media events and competitions have faded away, but MindTrek is still alive and kicking. MindTrek has not got into a rut but regenerated many times.

MindTrek is many competitions. Pictured our students Juhani Hujala and Vilma Pekola,

MindTrek was first time arranged in 1997 - that's 15 years ago - under the name Tampere Multimedia Festival. In October we will experience the 16th MindTrek. The last five years at Hotel Rosendahl have been excellent, but now we will go back to city centre and see what possibilities the Finlayson area offers.

Mark your calendars for October 3-5

MindTrek will again be an international conference, competitions, workshops, seminars, parties for three days. The strength and special characteristic of MindTrek lies in the involvement of all the players in e-media and services, the designers and the producers, researchers and students, start-ups and multinational companies, public bodies and civil society communities. The working language of most events is English, because MindTrek is a truly international enterprise with participants from some 30 countries every year.
